Jamaican cuisine at its best!! A crowd is ALWAYS a sign of good food and service... let's just say, there's always a line! The staff and food are outstanding!
Authentic flavor good price for the portion. I usually get curry goat or oxtails. Quick serve cafeteria line setup so 10-15min in and out
Food is great, it's very expensive but it's the economy so I don't blame them. The service is great at times too. I would recommend this to friends and family. The Ambiance is Homey, if you're from the Islands you'll feel at home
We came at the end of the day. Needless to say, they were out of some menu items like jerk chicken. (Understandable). The lady who took our order was absolutely hilarious. She was pleasant and helpful. I wanted jerk chicken but ended up getting oxtail, rice and peas, and plantain. My food was delicious. If I'm on that side of town again, I would definitely return.
I never got a chance to visit @firesiderestaurant1 during Atlanta @blackrestaurantweek; and my mom always mentions seeing a line for @firesiderestaurant1 everytime she passed by so, today we checked finally checked it out. Pros: The food is great. We ordered a medium oxtail and brown stewed chicken. For a medium serving, the portion was more than enough. The stewed chicken had a little spice to it and a different taste then what I am used to. But, like I said...it was good. The oxtails were perfect, just how I like them. I hate to do this but... Cons: I didn't receive the best customer service at all. The server had a dismissive demeanor and the cashier was on a personal call gossiping the entire time she checked me out. I can tell the staff reacts differently to their regulars The restaurant is carryout out only at the moment so, for the good food and the fact I don't have to interact with employees except to order....I would go back
